MINISTRIES
Prayer
In the Fall of 2018, Martha Masibo (Uganda) followed through on my Pan-African AMCF Conference presentation by starting an online prayer group of 3. We have grown into today’s “AMCF Jesus Ambassodors”: about 100 active members from 12 African and 10 other countries. Weekly meetings are led on a rotating basis by 13 prayer leaders (eleven are Africa-based). We pray by “chat” because of network quality and data cost. Between meetings members can pray through the meeting “transcript” and participate in a continuous prayer chat. One of our Nigerian leaders also conducts a multi-week online prayer-leader course each year and has monthly prayer with current and former trainees. The Ugandan group leader also has an online prayer group that engages locals in support of the ministry of IAEC (an ACCTS partner).
The Mexican MCF online prayer group meets weekly and carries on an enthusiastic prayer chat all the time. Their heart-felt prayers for their country are inspiring! AMCF Vice President (Región America Central) José Rodrigues leads a weekly online prayer group serving all Latin America. The MCF leaders of the AMCF Central America Region meet regularly with their Vice President, and their wives meet regularly with his wife. Many military Christian fellowships have online and/or in-person prayer meetings. The South America regional VP also has an online prayer group. We praise God for the work and cooperation of MMI and MSO (the other AMCF Principal Support Organizations) and CruMilitary.

Prayer is one of ACCTS’ core values - an essential prerequisite to, and an ongoing part of, any activity of eternal value. Here are some ways you can join in...
- Pray individually, from wherever you are, using the ACCTS weekly prayer email, and as led.
- Pray with someone or a small group face-to-face, by telephone, and/or over the internet, e.g.: with your church, chapel, small group, or OCF/CMF Bible study.
- Pray in partnership w/ACCTS staff or others serving a military Christian fellowship or a region of interest to you.
- Join us in asking God to raise up a network of MCF and regional prayer groups in appropriate languages.
- Develop a pray-without-ceasing lifestyle, always acknowledging His presence, often listening for His direction, often asking His enabling. Include those around you (physically, relationally, electronically) as you pray for issues and needs in your own spiritual, personal, family, and professional life; admit that their issues and needs are also present in you.
