This paper provides a course outline and a sample lesson plan from an elective military ethics course at the U.S. Armed Forces Staff College. The course outline includes lessons on leadership and lying, accountability, Tailhook (Harvard School of Law case study), the amount of force required (atom bomb at Hiroshima), use of land mines, Uniform Code of Military Justice/Laws, Mogadishu case study, necessity of an ethical code, and developing and ethical code for your command.
